Prepare the products necessary for cooking stewed cabbage with potatoes in a frying pan. You will need juicy white cabbage, crumbly potatoes, carrots, onions, a little tomato paste, salt, ground black pepper and vegetable oil.
Step 2:
Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Grate the peeled carrots on a coarse grater. Heat 1 tbsp in a frying pan .a spoonful of vegetable oil and put the chopped vegetables. Stir-fry over medium heat until the vegetables are soft.
Step 3:
Finely chop the white cabbage and add it to the frying pan with the fried vegetables, mix. Cover the pan with a lid and simmer over low heat for about 20 minutes.
Step 4:
Stir the cabbage periodically with a spatula or tablespoon. Cabbage should soften and be almost completely ready. If the cabbage is not very juicy, then you can add a little water or vegetable broth to the pan.
Step 5:
Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into medium-sized slices. Add to the pan with the vegetables. Add salt, ground black pepper and mix. Simmer under the lid for another 15-20 minutes, the potatoes should become soft. Again, you can add a little liquid if the vegetables do not secrete enough juice for the stewing process.

Step 7:
Ready-made stewed cabbage with potatoes in a frying pan can be served immediately after cooking. Such a dish is good both in hot, freshly prepared form and in chilled form. When serving, supplement the dish with chopped fresh herbs.
Along with ground black pepper, you can add other spices, for example, bay leaf, ground paprika (plain or smoked), turmeric, curry. The dish will become much tastier and more fragrant!
Instead of tomato paste, you can use ketchup, tomato sauce or tomato juice. The main thing is that these products are natural.
