Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
While the chicken eggs are cooking, we will make the dough. The ingredients for the dough must be removed from the refrigerator in advance so that they are at room temperature. In a bowl, beat in a chicken egg, add sugar and salt, mix the ingredients.
Step 2:
Prepare the ingredients for the pies. Let's start with cooking chicken eggs. Chicken eggs are washed with soap to avoid the penetration of pathogenic microbes into the prepared food. Put the eggs in a saucepan, pour water and cook hard boiled. Cook chicken eggs after boiling for no longer than 10 minutes, otherwise the yolk of the eggs will become an ugly bluish color. When the eggs are cooked, drain the hot water, pour cold water and leave for 10 minutes to cool down.
Step 3:
Pour kefir at room temperature. If it was not taken out of the refrigerator in advance, then you can warm it up a little in the microwave. Stir again.
Step 4:
Sift wheat flour. Add half of the flour to a bowl with a liquid mixture and mix. Add baking powder, if desired, instead of baking powder, you can add soda, slaked with vinegar. Mix the mass again.
Step 5:
Then gradually add the remaining wheat flour, stirring the dough with a spoon each time. When the dough becomes difficult to knead with a spoon, spread it on the work surface covered with flour and continue kneading. The dough should turn out soft and slightly sticky to the hands. Roll the dough into a ball. Do not add too much flour so that the dough does not become hard and steep. We put the dough in a bag and leave it on the table for half an hour.
Step 6:
Prepare the filling. I wash the green onions, dry them with paper towels and cut them finely with a knife.
Step 7:
Boiled chicken eggs are cleaned from the shell and finely chopped with a knife. Combine onions with boiled chicken eggs, add salt and a couple of tablespoons of sour cream, mix.
Step 8:
Take the dough out of the bag, divide it into 18 pieces. We roll out each of them on a flour-dusted table into a small cake.
Step 9:
Put the filling in the middle and fasten the edges of the pies.
Step 10:
This is how we make all the pies.
Step 11:
Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan. Fry the pies on medium heat on both sides until browned.
Step 12:
We serve pies with egg and onion to the table with tea, coffee or cocoa. Bon appetit!
