- We were bringing my newborn nephew and his mother home from the maternity hospital, but we didn't manage to order a personalized cake for their arrival as we'd planned. So we decided to make one ourselves. That's when I came across this very simple, very quick recipe. Now I recommend it to everyone. We made the cake in the shape of a baby stroller, but if you're feeling creative you can make any shape you like. A cake like this can delight your loved ones any day of the week. So, to make it you need cake layers. You can buy them ready-made at the store. For the cream, buy one pack of butter and one can of condensed milk. You'll also need food coloring to decorate the cake. At home we're very fond of nuts and dried fruit, so we added raisins, dried apricots, and walnuts to this cake. Here's how: we took plain wafer layers and cut the shape of a baby stroller out of them. Then I made the cream: I let the butter soften a little, mashed it with a fork, added a can of condensed milk, and mixed it well. I spread the cream over the bottom layer, then added the nuts and dried fruit, spread on more cream, and covered it all with the top piece. I tinted the remaining cream with food coloring and decorated the cake as in the photo. We put the cake in the fridge for a few hours to set. That's it. Such delicious food, and so easy and simple to make. Enjoy!
