Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make meatballs with cabbage? Prepare the products for cooking. Wash and peel the vegetables. Minced meat can be bought ready-made or cooked at home mixed - pork-beef. Remove the top leaves from the cabbage.

Finely chop the cabbage and peeled onions.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Grate carrots on a coarse grater.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Heat a little vegetable oil in a frying pan, put out the vegetables on medium heat until half cooked.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Cook thoroughly washed rice after boiling water for 7-8 minutes, without rinsing, discard it in a colander, let the water drain. Let it cool down.

With wet hands, form balls - future meatballs.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

Fry the meatballs on both sides until their sides are browned. If the pan is large and deep, use it. But I didn't have all the meatballs in one layer, there were a lot of them. In this case, take a cauldron or a duck house, fill the meatballs up to half with water.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Let the contents of the cauldron boil, add tomato, spices, pepper and salt.

  11. Step 11:

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

This is how ready-made meatballs look. Bon appetit!

The presence of vegetables makes meatballs more juicy, tender. Vegetables and rice help to increase the volume of the finished product. Quite a lot of meatballs are obtained from the specified number of ingredients, which makes the dish financially profitable and helps to feed a large family.
I don't like very large meatballs, but you can make them bigger - it's a matter of taste.

To avoid irritating the mucous membrane of the eyes when slicing onions, rinse the onion and knife with cold water. The cutting board will not absorb the unpleasant onion smell if you rub it with a piece of lemon before slicing.
