How to make Herculean meatballs from lean flakes? Oat flakes are a storehouse of trace elements that are so important for our health. They contain a large amount of dietary fiber, without which the normal functioning of the gastrointestinal tract is impossible. That is why it is important to include this product in your diet as often as possible, but you will not surprise anyone with a classic porridge in the English manner. It is much better to cook these wonderful cutlets that even children like!

Before starting to make minced meat, soak the oat flakes for 20 minutes, pouring boiling water over them. They will have time to swell well and the finished cutlets will turn out tender. At this time, you can do vegetables. Peel and rinse potatoes, carrots and onions. Grate the root vegetables on a grater with a fine cross section. You can chop the onion with a blender or chop it into crumbs with a knife. Next, mix everything in a common bowl. Pass the garlic through the press and add it to the same place.

When the oat flakes swell, drain the remaining water and add the vegetable mixture to them. Mix and bring the taste to perfect, seasoning with salt, spices if desired, as well as dry herbs. The finished minced meat should be dense and easily formed with a spoon.

Preheat a frying pan with a thick bottom, add vegetable oil. Form the cutlets of the desired shape, lightly pan and put them in a frying pan. Fry the cutlets in a hot frying pan until golden brown (3-4 minutes), and then turn down the heat and steam the cutlets under a closed lid for 5 minutes. Turn it over to the other side and bring it to a golden crust for 3-5 minutes.

Serve the cutlets as an independent dish with any side dish. Mashed potatoes, boiled whole potatoes or baked, various cereals, pasta and stewed vegetables are ideal for them. If desired, you can supplement the cutlets with your favorite sauce.

Bon appetit!
