- This comes together in almost no time: run the liver, onion, and boiled carrot through a meat grinder; stir the semolina into the mixture and let it rest for 30 minutes so the semolina can swell; add the egg, season with salt, and mix in the flour; heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and drop the batter on by the tablespoon; fry for about 3 minutes per side, then transfer the golden fritters to a plate. Serve the liver fritters on their own, topped with a little sour cream and fresh herbs. Enjoy!
