Gather the ingredients from the list.

    Step 2

Peel the banana and the tangerines. If you like a smoother, more uniform drink, remove as much of the membrane from the tangerine segments as you can. Break them into segments. If you simply separate the tangerines into segments without removing the membranes, the drink comes out with pulp, like juice.

    Step 3

Slice the banana into rounds into a blender cup, add the tangerine segments, and pour in the honey. Liquid honey works best, but any kind will do.

  • A smoothie — from the English "smoothie" — is a "healthy" take on the classic milkshake, in which the main component isn't milk but fruit and berries (and sometimes vegetables). In place of milk, smoothies also often include plain yogurt, and vegan versions usually use coconut or soy milk. As a sweetener — honey. A smoothie is a very convenient drink for the always-rushing city dweller, since you can drink it on the go. On top of that, a smoothie is very wholesome, because it preserves all the vitamins and trace minerals from the vegetables and fruit, while the plant fiber gives your stomach something to work on. In our drink, that plant fiber is plentiful if you don't remove the membranes from the tangerine. That's exactly why smoothies are often used for weight loss. Weight-loss smoothies leave out sugar, ice cream and chocolate. For slimming, choose recipes with the lowest-calorie fruit: apples, plums, kiwi and the like. Try not to use a milk-based recipe for a diet smoothie; it's better to add yogurt or low-fat kefir. It's worth noting that a diet built on this drink shouldn't cut out at least one daily meal of solid food, since solid food is still good for your gut — but the smoothie can comfortably replace one meal for you, ideally dinner. It won't burden your stomach with extra work at night, or your body with extra calories. Here's to a tasty and pleasant slim-down!
