Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 20 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

How to make a peanut butter ring? Prepare the dough. To do this, we will use a deep container. Chop a piece of butter so that it becomes softer and more plastic faster. Cut it into small pieces or grate it and leave it for a while at room temperature.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Separately sift the flour through a sieve, add salt and soda to it, mix all the dry ingredients of the dough. In the already soft butter, add wheat flour with salt and soda in parts. Rub all the ingredients with your fingers, eventually getting a rather greasy sandy mass.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Add cinnamon to the dough to taste. Beat in a chicken egg and add sugar. Continue to knead the dough with your hands and do it quite quickly so that the oil does not have time to stand out on the surface in the form of a greasy film. Next, form a ball of dough, put it in a bowl and cover it with cling film. Put the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

At this time, prepare the sprinkles for cookies, we have peanuts. Transfer it to a dry, clean frying pan and, stirring constantly, lightly fry until light golden brown. Put the prepared peanuts on the work surface and chop it in any convenient way: you can do this with a rolling pin, walking it over the peanuts, or chop the nuts with a knife, blender or meat grinder.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Now take out the already slightly cooled dough from the refrigerator and roll it out with a rolling pin into a layer 4-6 mm thick. Next, using special round molds, squeeze cookies out of the layer. Instead of molds, you can take a glass and a shot glass. In the center of each resulting circle of dough, make another cutout in the shape of a smaller diameter - so that you get a ring.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Transfer the prepared cookies to the floured surface of the board so that they do not stick and put them in the refrigerator for 10 minutes. Then break the egg, separating the white from the yolk. Beat the yolk a little and smear each cookie with it.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Dip each cookie ring with the greased side into the crushed peanuts. Put the cookies ready for baking on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper and put it in a preheated oven to 180-200 °With an oven. Bake the peanut rings until golden brown for about 10-15 minutes. Determine the exact time and temperature of baking according to your oven.

Cookies turn out to be only 12 pieces, so if the family is large and even more so there are children in it, I advise you to cook 2 servings at once.
And more. I needed a lot more flour. I can't say exactly how much, since I poured it several times, in general, I added it according to my feelings. And I needed about 75 grams of nuts (I'm of the opinion that the more of them, the tastier), but I got quite a lot of peanuts on sand rings. In principle, you can do with 50 grams.

Be prepared for the fact that you may need more or less flour than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!

Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
