Chicken Roll-Ups with Ham and Cheese
Melt-in-your-mouth chicken roll-ups in a cream sauce — impossible to resist! Treat yourself to the wonderfully tender flavor of these amazing chicken rolls!
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
How do you make chicken roll-ups with ham and cheese? Cut the cheese into slices and the ham into thin slices. Cut the chicken breast lengthwise into 3 cutlets. Pound each one thin and season with salt. Lay 2 slices of ham on top of each cutlet.
-
Step 2:
Lay the cheese slices on top of the ham.
-
Step 3:
Roll each cutlet up.
-
Step 4:
Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet and add the roll-ups.
-
Step 5:
Brown them on all sides until golden.
-
Step 6:
Pour the cream into the skillet. Press in the garlic. Season with pepper to taste and sprinkle with the fresh herbs.
-
Step 7:
Simmer over low heat until the cream has reduced by half (about 20-25 minutes). Serve with your favorite side dish!
- One thing to keep in mind: the wrong pan can ruin even a great recipe. For tips on picking the perfect pan for different dishes, check our dedicated guide.
- Every oil is only good up to a certain point — its smoke point, where it starts to burn and form harmful compounds. For guidance on choosing frying temperatures and the best oils for the job, see our separate guide.
- You can swap the chicken for turkey or any other meat you like. Just keep in mind that the cooking time and the calorie count will change.
