Spicy Marinated Pork Neck, Oven-Baked
This delicious oven-baked pork makes an easy centerpiece for a holiday table. Juicy and fragrant, it's the kind of roast that turns any celebration into an occasion. You can marinate it ahead of time and pop it in the oven not long before your guests arrive.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
Gather all your ingredients. Rinse the meat and pat it dry, then make the marinade.
-
Step 2:
In a deep bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, ketchup, mustard, salt, sugar, and ground black pepper. Grate the garlic on a fine grater or press it through a garlic press and stir it into the marinade. Add a tablespoon of French or Italian herbs, which pair beautifully with soy sauce, and mix well until smooth and evenly blended.
-
Step 3:
Add the pork to the marinade and rub it thoroughly all over, coating every side. Cover with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours. Transfer the marinated meat to a baking dish, pour any remaining marinade over the top, and cover tightly with foil.
-
Step 4:
Place the dish in an oven preheated to 350°F (180°C) and bake for 1 hour. After an hour, remove the foil, raise the temperature to 400°F (200°C), and bake for another 15 to 20 minutes, until nicely browned. Let the roast cool in the dish, then slice it into portions and serve.
-
Step 5:
Your spicy marinated oven-baked pork neck is ready. Enjoy!
