Cheesecakes with prunes in the oven

Prunes are the perfect filling for cheesecakes. I'm not a big fan of dried fruits. Most often I use them in salads or pastries. However, the other day I came across an interesting recipe for cheesecakes, which are first fried and then baked. Combined with prunes, the cheesecakes turned out incredibly tasty.

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 35 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

Prepare the ingredients. To prepare delicious cheesecakes with prunes, we will need: Cottage cheese (fat content of at least 5%), prunes, large egg, semolina, sugar, vanilla sugar with natural vanilla, baking powder and salt.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Pour boiling water over the prunes and leave for 8-10 minutes. Then drain the water. If prunes have seeds, remove them.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

Mash the cottage cheese with a fork or rub through a sieve.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

Add eggs, sugar, vanilla sugar and salt to the cottage cheese. Mix everything thoroughly.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

Mix semolina and baking powder in a separate container.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Pour semolina with baking powder into the curd mass and mix thoroughly.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Cut the prunes into small pieces.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Add the crushed prunes to the curd mass.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

    Mix everything well.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Breading. You will need flour for breading. I used wheat, but rice is better. With it, the cheesecakes will turn out softer.

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Form small cheesecakes from the resulting mass and roll them in flour.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and fry the cheesecakes on high heat on both sides until golden brown. It is better to turn the cheesecakes over with two spatulas or a spatula and a fork, since the consistency of the dough is quite soft. Therefore, in order for the cheesecakes to retain their smooth round shape, it is better to turn them over, holding them with a second device.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

Then transfer the cheesecakes to a baking sheet lined with parchment and bring to readiness in preheated to 200 °In the oven for about 6 minutes.

  14. Step 14:

    Step 14.

Put the finished cheesecakes on a plate. If desired, sprinkle with powdered sugar. You can serve it with condensed milk, honey, jam, various sweet sauces or simply with sour cream. Bon appetit!

Cheesecakes can not be baked in the oven and can only be fried in a frying pan. But for this, cheesecakes should not be too large and thick, otherwise they will burn on top, and they will not bake inside.
You can cook the same cheesecakes in a different way: wrap the prunes inside the cheesecake.
