Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

An incredibly tender, wonderfully delicious chocolate-and-cheese frosting! A great frosting for any sponge cake or for decorating other desserts. It's even delicious on its own. And if you use mint chocolate, it gets even more interesting — the mint adds a special touch.

  • It's important that the cream is well chilled. Pour 450 ml of cream into a bowl. Whip it on medium speed, gradually increasing the speed. This takes 6–8 minutes. It's important not to overdo it, or you'll end up with butter. Whip until airy. Add the powdered sugar to the whipped cream and mix with the mixer. Add the cream cheese to the mixture and mix again with the mixer. Break the chocolate into a separate bowl. Take the remaining cream and heat it on the stove or in the microwave until it comes to a boil. Pour it over the broken chocolate, let sit for a minute, then stir until the chocolate melts. Add the chocolate mixture to the cream-and-cheese mixture and beat with the mixer. Your chocolate cream cheese frosting is ready!
