Cooking method
1. Turn on the oven at 200 degrees Celsius.
2. Peel the onion, rinse and cut into small cubes. Pour a little vegetable oil into the pan and heat it. Transfer the chopped onion to a frying pan and fry it on medium heat until golden brown for 5-7 minutes. Transfer the fried onion to a bowl and cool.
4. Finely dice the olives. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. Add the olives and cheese to a bowl with fried onions and mix everything well.
5. Cut white bread into medium pieces and pour milk. Then mash the bread crumb and put it in the minced meat. Season the minced meat with salt and freshly ground black pepper to your liking. Mix the minced meat thoroughly.
6. Next, divide the minced meat into 8 equal parts and make balls out of them. Flatten each ball and put the filling of fried onions, olives and grated cheese in the middle. Then carefully wrap the stuffing in minced meat and form balls again.
7. Thinly slice bacon into layers. You will need the same number of bacon plates as meat balls. Spread out a plate of bacon, put a stuffed ball on its edge and wrap it in bacon. The edges of the bacon, so as not to fall apart, secure with a toothpick.
8. Cover the baking dish with food foil and put the meat balls wrapped in bacon in it. Put the mold in a preheated oven to bake for half an hour.
9. Then remove the dish from the oven and carefully (so as not to get burned) remove the toothpicks from the balls. The bourgeois in a padded jacket is ready! You can decorate the dish with herbs and serve it on the table.
Bon appetit!
