Lazy Skillet Belyashi (Fried Meat Patties)

Super-tender belyashi from an ultra-lazy recipe! I love all kinds of baked goods, while my husband will only eat them with a meat filling. Today I'll show you how I make belyashi after work — the lazy kind, since those are all I have energy for. They don't take much time, and dinner comes out just wonderful!

    1. Pour the kefir into a bowl, crack in the egg, and whisk. Add the salt, sugar, and baking soda, sift in the flour, and whisk the batter smooth. It should be even and about the consistency of pancake batter.
    1. Peel the onion, dice it finely, and fry it in vegetable oil until nicely golden. Then add the ground meat, salt, black pepper, and meat seasoning. Fry the filling for 2 minutes, breaking up the meat well with a fork. Transfer the finished filling to a bowl.
    1. Heat a skillet and add vegetable oil. Using a tablespoon, drop rounds of batter onto the skillet, let them set for 1-2 minutes, then place the meat filling (1.5 teaspoons) in the center of each, spoon a little batter over the top, and flip. Cover the pan with a lid and cook another 2 minutes, until golden brown.
  • Look how pretty the belyashi came out — finger-licking good!
  • Serve with sour cream; it's twice as delicious that way!
