Chicken Drumsticks in Sour Cream

Chicken drumsticks in a sour cream sauce. Quick. Simple. Delicious! Perfect for busy parents — sometimes the most tender results take the least effort. Ideal for anyone who can't spend a lot of time cooking. My family loves this chicken, and I think you should give it a try too.

You can use thighs here as well, but drumsticks come out the tastiest.

  • A small skillet with high sides works best. A cast-iron pan is perfect. A slow cooker is great too. So: add the vegetable oil to the skillet before it heats up. Arrange the drumsticks as snugly together as possible. Let them sizzle for about 5 minutes until lightly browned. Flip them. Sprinkle a small pinch of salt over each drumstick. Let them cook another 5 minutes. Spoon sour cream over the drumsticks, right onto the meaty part of each one — it's important that the meaty part is covered with sour cream. Cover with the lid. Leave to simmer another 20–30 minutes. Once done, serve hot or cold — both ways are wonderfully tender. Try it, it's finger-licking good %)
