Donar in Turkish

Shawarma in the Turkish manner with chicken fillet and the right sauce! This recipe is with the right sauce. It is exactly the way it turns out to taste, which I remember, personally, since the late 90s. Donar in Turkish is another version of shawarma, which many of us love, but are often afraid to buy, not being sure that it is cooked perfectly correctly and in sterile conditions. Having cooked it at home, you will also enjoy your favorite dish, and you will know exactly where and how it is cooked. Fears of this kind are really not in vain. We made sure that the sauce, which is seasoned with both shawarma and donary, has a very short period of use and even turns sour very, very quickly in the refrigerator. What can we say about small, stuffy stalls! Therefore, donar should definitely be eaten fresh! Remember this!

    Step 6.

1. Sauce preparation:
Mix sour cream, kefir, mayonnaise, garlic and seasonings.
2. Finely chop tomatoes and cucumbers into the sauce, if you like-onions (sometimes I add a couple of pickles, for a change).
3. Pre-cooked chicken fillet cut into cubes and fry them until lightly browned in a frying pan.
4. While the chicken is frying, prepare the pita: lightly brown each in a frying pan (on low heat) on both sides.
5. Spread a portion of meat and a small portion of sauce with vegetables directly on the hot pita. Carefully roll it up, packing it from the outside in a small piece of foil. The foil is very convenient because it keeps the temperature and the donar cools down more slowly, and also holds the shape of the rolled pita well.
Inside the already packed donar, add another portion of salad with vegetables on top.
6. So do seven owls with 12 pitas. The specified sauce will be enough for you and even a little will remain, but we add more sauce when the first portion of it settles inside the donar.
7. Bon appetit!
