Step 1:
Make the filling: to the ground beef add salt, chopped onion, and pepper.

Step 2:
Blanch the chard leaves in boiling water, then transfer them to cold water. Cut each leaf into three pieces.

Fill and roll them with the meat filling, just like cabbage rolls.

Step 4:
Finely chop the leaf stems and sauté them with onion and tomato. This makes a "bed" for the rolls. Arrange the rolls on top and add water until it reaches the level of the rolls. Cook over low heat for 40 minutes. Then add 4–5 cloves of garlic (I just crushed mine) and cook for another 5–7 minutes.
