Pork Liver Goulash
A recipe for a delicious, out-of-the-ordinary goulash with a zesty kick. I love how simple and quick it is, especially when made with chicken liver or another poultry liver like turkey. I can't say liver is my favorite food, but I do make it now and then for my family. Here's my recipe for pork liver goulash — you can just as easily use beef or chicken liver.
Cooking method
-
Step 1:
The ingredients
-
Step 2:
Start by rinsing the liver and cutting it into medium (not too large) pieces.
-
Step 3:
Then finely chop the onion
-
Step 4:
and sauté it in oil in a skillet for a few minutes.
-
Step 5:
While the onion cooks, dredge the liver in flour
-
Step 6:
and add it to the skillet with the onion,
-
Step 7:
frying for 10 minutes.
-
Step 8:
After that, take out the liver, stir a tablespoon of flour into the pan, add the sour cream and tomato purée, then the salt and finely minced garlic, season with pepper to taste, pour in the dry white wine, and set it over medium heat.
-
Step 9:
Bring the whole mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
-
Step 10:
Simmer the goulash — pork, chicken, beef, whatever liver you're using — until it's fully cooked.
-
Step 11:
When the liver goulash is done, turn off the heat and dish it out onto plates with whatever side you like. Enjoy!
