Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the products according to the list: chicken or parts of it, red beans (boiled or canned in advance), butter, sugar (ideally brown), onion, garlic, spices, be sure to have ginger among them.
Step 2:
Chop the chicken into portions.
Step 3:
Mix in a saucepan with spices, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic and onion. Mix well and leave to marinate for 2-2.5 hours.
Step 4:
Heat sugar and butter in a saucepan or cauldron until brown and immediately lower the pieces of chicken meat into it, fry quickly from all sides.
Step 5:
Add a cup of water to the marinade and pour it into a saucepan with chicken. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Step 6:
Add the red beans, simmer for another 15-20 minutes with the beans.
Step 7:
Red beans with chicken are ready at home.
I cooked red beans with chicken at home today based on a recipe from Caribbean cuisine. Some ingredients could not be found, but it turned out just awesome delicious! I can say with confidence that the main role in this dish is played by a spicy thick sauce, which turned out as a result of roasting and stewing.
