Step 1:
How to bake potatoes with meat in the sleeve? Prepare the products. Any meat will do, I have pork. If it has been frozen, then pre-defrost it by transferring it from the freezer to the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. From the spices I took ground black pepper, paprika and hot chili. You can add garlic to taste. Pre-wash the vegetables well with a brush under running water.
Step 2:
Wash the meat, dry it and cut into small pieces.
Step 3:
Peel the carrots and cut them into rings or cubes, as you like. You can grate it on a coarse grater.
Step 4:
Cut the peeled onion into cubes or half rings.
Step 5:
Clean and peeled potatoes — in large cubes the size of pieces of meat.
Step 6:
Take a baking sleeve about 50 cm long. Tie one end tightly. Put potatoes, onions and carrots in it.
Step 7:
Put the meat on top of the vegetables. Add salt and spices. Pour in the vegetable oil. Tie the loose end, leaving some free space.
Step 8:
Mix the products with your hands, actively turning the sleeve from side to side. Place it either in a larger mold or on a baking sheet. From above, use a knife to make small punctures for steam to escape.
Step 9:
Bake the meat and potatoes in the oven at 180 ° C for about one hour. Then remove the mold with the sleeve from the oven without turning off the heating. Carefully, using a knife and fork, cut the sleeve from the top and open its edges. Turn on the grill or convection mode in the oven. Put the meat and potatoes for another 10-15 minutes so that a ruddy crust forms on top. If you do not have convection, then put the meat on normal mode until browning.
I really like to cook in a sleeve - convenient, fast, delicious. And this dish was no exception. The meat turned out to be very soft, the potatoes were perfectly stewed, everything was saturated with the aromas of spices. Definitely I will cook more!
Absolutely any meat is suitable for this recipe - beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey. Depending on which one you prefer, choose seasonings for it. You can add garlic directly in slices, it will give its flavor to the products. And then remove the cloves from the finished dish.
Together with potatoes, you can put other vegetables - zucchini, eggplant, pepper, string beans.
Instead of vegetable oil, you can put pieces of butter.
Sour cream, mayonnaise or tomato sauce are also put in such a dish.
When serving, sprinkle the dish with chopped herbs.
For this recipe, it does not matter which part of the carcass to choose, since it will still become soft during cooking.
In addition to pork, any other meat can be used in this dish. Keep in mind that the cooking time, as well as the taste and calorie content of the dish will change. For example, beef is cooked longer than pork, and chicken fillet or turkey is less.
