Cooking method
I constantly cook beef according to my boss's recipe. The meat is cut into portions, which is very convenient when serving. Beef stewed in tomato sauce is a very tasty and flavorful meal. Cut the meat across the fibers in pieces about 2 cm thick. We roll them in flour and fry them in a frying pan with heated vegetable oil over high heat. The meat should immediately be covered with a crust so that the juice remains inside. We put the fried pieces of beef in a saucepan in which we will stew the meat. Sprinkle with spices - dried basil, oregano, marjoram. Then add tomato puree to the meat. Instead of mashed potatoes, you can use finely chopped fresh tomatoes, peeled. From above, cover the meat with lightly fried onions in vegetable oil and pour a glass of water or broth. We close the pan with a lid and put it on a small fire. Simmer the meat for 1.5 hours until it becomes soft and tender. Periodically stir the contents of the pan so that nothing burns to the bottom, and cook evenly. At the end of stewing, salt and pepper the meat, and you can also add chopped herbs and chopped garlic. Beef stewed in tomato sauce is served on the table with mashed potatoes. Bon appetit!
