Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake juicy pink salmon with potatoes? Prepare the necessary ingredients for this. My pink salmon was frozen. It must first be thawed at room temperature. Then wash the fish, dry it and cut it into pieces. Peel the potatoes and rinse them in running water from dirt. If you use new potatoes, then you can simply wash them with a brush without peeling the peel.
Step 2:
Cut the prepared potatoes into slices.
Step 3:
For baking, you can use any heat-resistant mold - made of glass, ceramic or metal. Grease the bottom and sides of the mold with a little vegetable oil and lay out the sliced potatoes. Spread it evenly over the entire surface. Sprinkle the potatoes with salt and spices. As a spice, you can use a little ground pepper or dry herbs.
Step 4:
Put the pink salmon, cut into pieces, on the potatoes.
Step 5:
Peel the onion, rinse in cold water and cut into rings. Spread onion rings evenly over the entire surface of the fish.
Step 6:
Pour sour cream evenly over everything. If the sour cream is thick, then you can dilute it a little with water. To taste, add a little more salt and spices for the fish.
Step 7:
Wash tomatoes, cut into circles and put them on sour cream.
Step 8:
Sprinkle the top layer with cheese, grated on a coarse grater.
Step 9:
Cover everything on top with a sheet of foil and tuck the edges so that everything is closed on the sides and the heat does not come out. Place the mold in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for about 50-60 minutes. Be guided by your oven.
Step 10:
After the specified time, remove the foil sheet. The fish is cooked fast enough, so try the potatoes for softness. If the potatoes are ready, then the mold can be removed from the oven.
Step 11:
Pink salmon baked with potatoes in foil is ready! Arrange the dish on plates and serve it to the table! Bon appetit!
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
Any cheese is suitable for this dish — hard, semi-hard, soft, like mozzarella. The main thing is that it is tasty, high-quality, without milk fat substitutes and melts well.
Note that the quality and taste of the finished dish largely depends on the proper defrosting of the ingredients. How to avoid mistakes and choose the best way, read the article about defrosting.
