Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake a whole chicken in the oven in mustard? To prepare a marinade for chicken, take a spacious bowl. Combine sour cream, mustard and soy sauce in it.
Step 2:
Add vegetable oil, salt and dried basil.
Step 3:
Mix the whole marinade until smooth.
Step 4:
Take the chicken carcass and rinse it in running, cold water. Dry the chicken with a paper towel or paper napkins. Coat the chicken completely with the resulting marinade from all sides. Cover the bowl with a lid or cling film and leave to marinate for several hours. I usually pickle chicken in the morning in order to cook it in the oven for dinner.
Step 5:
Before baking, prepare a mold of the required size and cover it with foil. Put the pickled chicken in the mold and pour over it all the remaining marinade. Cover the chicken with another sheet of foil and pinch the foil around the edges. Put the chicken in the oven, preheated to 200 degrees for 1 hour.
Step 6:
After an hour, remove the top sheet of foil from the chicken and put it back in the oven for another 30 minutes to brown the top of the chicken in an open form.
Step 7:
In these half an hour, the chicken will become so rosy and appetizing. Transfer it to a plate and serve it to the table. Do not pour out the sauce that will be in the form. Pour it into a saucepan and serve with the chicken. It's delicious! Bon appetit!
Chicken. cooked whole, this is a great option for a hot dish for any festive table. When baking, you can cover the chicken with raw potatoes and then you will not have to puzzle over the preparation of a separate side dish. Potatoes will be perfectly soaked with marinade juice and will turn out quite juicy.
In general, absolutely any side dish is suitable for such a chicken, from baked vegetables to ordinary pasta. It would not be superfluous to supplement the dish with a vegetable salad or fresh vegetables.
The whole family will gather on the smell of such a chicken.
Cook with pleasure! Very tasty!
