Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake quails in the oven?. Prepare all ingredients. wash the potatoes under running water with a brush, peel them. Wash and dry the quail with paper towels.
Step 2:
Pour salt, ground pepper and ground bay leaf into a plate. It seems to me that such a simple set of spices is self-sufficient, but if you want, you can add or remove spices to your liking.
Step 3:
Rub the quail carcasses thoroughly with spices inside and out. Refrigerate for a couple of hours to marinate.
Step 4:
When the quails are marinated, turn on the oven to preheat at 180 degrees (about 10-20 minutes before baking). Cut the potatoes into quarters, put them in a baking dish lightly greased with vegetable oil with a high smoking temperature, add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 5:
Put the birds on top of the potatoes, you can, if desired, lightly lubricate the carcasses with mayonnaise. Put the mold in the oven for about an hour (focus on the features of your oven). In the process, you can turn the carcasses over once, and 5 minutes before the end of cooking (if there is in the oven), turn on the grill mode to form an appetizing crust))
Step 6:
Put ready quails with potatoes on plates. Serve with fresh vegetables or any salad to your taste.

Any heat-resistant form is suitable for this recipe. If you use a silicone mold, then you do not need to smear it with oil. But it is better to lightly lubricate metal, ceramic or glass dishes with vegetable oil so that the dish does not burn.
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
Since the degree of salinity, sweetness, bitterness, sharpness, acid, burning is individual for everyone, always add spices, spices and seasonings, focusing on your taste! If you put some of the seasonings for the first time, then keep in mind that there are spices that it is especially important not to shift (for example, chili pepper).
If you use ready-made spice mixes, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.
