Step 1:
How to bake salmon steak in the oven? Take the products from the list. You can take any vegetable oil. Spices are also selected to your taste, you can use special dry mixes for fish. I do not recommend, however, taking strongly aromatic types of bay leaf, so as not to clog the aroma of fish. By the way, about fish: it can be any red, not only salmon.
Step 2:
Wash the salmon steak and dry it with napkins. Remove the skin from the steak along with the scales, it's easier and easier than peeling it off, the more the layer of subcutaneous fat will go away. And it's better to trim the fat edge of the abdomen, too, because we don't need extra fat.
Step 3:
Pour lemon juice over the steak, squeezing it out of a fresh lemon. Salt the fish with coarse salt.
Step 4:
Add spices, vegetable oil, rub the resulting mixture well into the fish. Thyme you can have both fresh and dry.
Step 5:
Place a sheet of parchment in a baking dish and place the fish on it. Place in a heated oven for 15-20 minutes. Determine the exact time and temperature of baking according to your oven. Bake the fish until cooked.
Step 6:
In the open, the fish will have time to bake and remain juicy. Serve it immediately hot, with any sweet and sour sauces, vegetable salads.
Salmon steak baked in the oven is an excellent lunch dish, useful for both children and adults, especially the elderly or with weakened health. Baked salmon is also quite suitable for those who want to lose weight, because protein food is always necessary. Cooking such dishes is a pleasure, because salmon is a completely self-sufficient product, and the task of the cook is not to spoil it with his culinary abilities. Therefore, we use a minimal set of additives: thyme with its elegant aroma will emphasize the dignity of the fish, vegetable oil will not allow it to dry in the oven, enveloping the flesh like a film. It remains not to waste the moment of readiness and serve immediately!
Keep in mind that everyone has different ovens. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
If you use ready-made spice mixes for fish, be sure to read the composition on the package. Often, salt is already present in such mixtures, take this into account, otherwise you risk over-salting the dish.
