Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to bake apples with walnuts in the oven with honey? Prepare the products. Choose hard, large apples, preferably those varieties that do not soften much during heat treatment. Sour types will be especially good — Semerenko, Antonovka, Granny Smith.
Step 2:
Wash the apples well, dry them. Cut off the top. With a spoon, scrape out part of the pulp along with the core with seeds, leaving walls about 1 cm thick on the sides. You should get "cups" of apples. You can also bake the lids by covering the apples on top, or leave them for compote (together with the removed pulp).
Step 3:
Prepare the walnuts. I have already peeled, you can take the nuts in the shell and peel them yourself. To make the nuts more delicious and fragrant, dry them for a short time in a dry frying pan. Chop the nuts in any way — with a knife, in a blender or in a mortar. Do not grind too much, leave rather large pieces.
Step 4:
Pre-wash and dry the raisins. You can not add it at all, look to your liking. Mix nuts, raisins and honey. Take natural, delicious, high-quality honey. If it is very thick, then warm it up a little in a water bath.
Step 5:
Stuff the apples with the prepared mixture. Install them in a heat-resistant mold. Pour a little water on the bottom, about 1 cm. If desired, you can sprinkle apples with ground cinnamon on top. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C, top-bottom mode.
Step 6:
Bake the apples for about 30 minutes. The exact time will depend on the characteristics of your oven and the variety of apples. Remove the finished apples from the oven. Serve to the table in any form, they are delicious both warm and chilled. Enjoy your meal!
