We all have a positive attitude to oatmeal porridge. This recipe helped to make breakfast not quite ordinary. The child liked the oatmeal in this version very much. After her, she didn't really want the traditional porridge.
Perhaps those who don't really like hercules should try porridge according to this recipe. Surely they will like it.

I would add a pinch of salt when cooking.
After cooling, the oatmeal becomes quite thick, you can say crumbly. We ate it with pleasure in this form and cold as a delicious and healthy snack. You can serve it with milk.

For this recipe, instant flakes are not suitable, it is better to use hercules.
It is more correct to call this product oatmeal. "Hercules" is a trademark of oat flakes. In the early years of Soviet power, a semi-finished oatmeal porridge called "Hercules" appeared on the shelves. On the package there was a picture of a sturdy child with a spoon in his hand. It was a kind of advertisement that this food gives strength and you can become strong, like the ancient hero Hercules. Since then, the association of oat flakes with Hercules has appeared. It has become so popular that it is used as a product name.
