Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
To prepare rolls of puff pastry with cheese and sausage, you will need a simple set of products. Purchased ready-made puff pastry, grated cheese, sausage, onion, tomato, egg and sesame.
Step 2:
Peel the onion and rinse in clean water, wash the tomato. Chop the onion and tomato as finely as possible, cubes or cubes.
Step 3:
Add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil to the pan (you can use butter), heat it up and fry the onion until golden brown.
Step 4:
Send tomato, garlic powder, a pinch of dry basil and salt to the onion. If the tomato is store-bought, and most likely tasteless in the off-season, then you can add a pinch of sugar to all the ingredients. Cook over high heat, stirring continuously, until the excess liquid from the tomato evaporates.
Step 5:
The consistency of the sauce should be approximately the same as in the photo. Remove the pan from the heat and cool it. At this time, we will deal with the rest of the products for rolls.
Step 6:
Prepare the sausage. It can be used absolutely any to your taste, boiled, semi-smoked or smoked will do well. The taste of the finished rolls will change from the choice of sausage products. So, peel the sausage and grate it on a coarse grater.
Step 7:
Spread out a sheet of puff pastry on the table.
Step 8:
Evenly distribute the tomato-onion sauce on the surface of the dough (you can do this with a tablespoon or a silicone brush).
Step 9:
Spread the sausage with the next layer.
Step 10:
Next comes the cheese queue. The recipe used the purchased grated cheese, if you have a whole piece of cheese, then you need to grate it on a coarse grater, as well as sausage.
Step 11:
Twist the stuffed sheet of dough into a roll, as in the photo.
Step 12:
Cut with a sharp knife into fragments, no more than two centimeters thick.
Step 13:
Shake the egg until smooth.
Step 14:
Place the rolls on a baking sheet covered with baking paper.
Step 15:
Lubricate each roll with an egg using a silicone brush.
Step 16:
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top. Send the rolls to the preheated oven and bake at 180-200 degrees on the "top-bottom" mode until ready. Cooking time and mode may vary depending on the capabilities of your oven. It is worth focusing on the appearance of ruddy sides and an appetizing crispy crust on top.
An incredibly delicious snack that flies off the table with lightning speed!
A favorite treat for children and adults.
Hot and cold rolls are very tasty.
Bon appetit!
