Step 1:
How to make puff pastry chicken puffs? Prepare all the ingredients listed in the list. Remove the puff pastry from the freezer in advance and defrost according to the instructions.
Step 2:
Wash the chicken fillet, dry it with paper towels. Cut the meat into cubes as small as possible with a knife. Transfer to a suitable container. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Step 3:
Grate the hard cheese on a medium-sized grater. Cheese can be any, the main thing is that it is delicious, high-quality and melts well in the oven. Instead of hard cheese, you can take suluguni or mozzarella.
Step 4:
Send the cheese to the meat, add a couple of spoonfuls of mayonnaise or sour cream, natural yogurt without additives. Mix the minced meat thoroughly with a spoon.
Step 5:
Cut the thawed dough into rectangular pieces.
Step 6:
Sprinkle a little flour on the work surface and roll out each strip about 3 mm thick.
Step 7:
Make cuts in the middle and two in the corners on each strip of dough with a regular knife or pizza. Do not cut the center, it should remain intact.
Step 8:
Place about a tablespoon of minced meat in the center.
Step 9:
Wrap the filling first with the upper triangle of dough. Secure the edges well.
Step 10:
Now wrap the side petal that is on the right and secure the edges.
Step 11:
Wrap the last petal and pinch the edges.
Step 12:
Put the blanks of the open rose pies on a baking sheet, which you pre-cover with a baking mat or parchment.
Step 13:
Shake one egg in a bowl. Using a cooking brush, lubricate the pies from all sides, including the filling. Thanks to the egg, the pastry will acquire a glossy and golden crust.
Step 14:
10 minutes before baking, turn on the oven to warm up to 180 degrees. Bake the chicken puffs for about 35 minutes until golden brown. But since everyone's ovens are different, the baking time may vary. Serve chicken puffs with pickles, salads, fresh herbs or sauces.
Instead of chicken fillet, you can take any other minced meat, for example, turkey.
Mayonnaise can be prepared by yourself, it will be more useful than store-bought.
In addition to salt and pepper, you can add spices to the minced meat to taste, for example, Italian herbs.
When the top layer of baking is slightly browned, check it for readiness: pierce it with a wooden skewer in several places, if the skewer comes out dry, then the mold (or baking tray) can be taken out of the oven.
In addition to the purchased one, you can use your own dough. You can choose a recipe for homemade puff pastry for this baking in this catalog .
