Step 1:
Let's prepare the ingredients for the pie. Apple jam can be used any, factory-made or homemade, it will turn out in any case. It is interesting and delicious when the jam is a heterogeneous puree in texture, but with pieces of apples. Put the softened butter in a bowl. We drive in a chicken egg and add sugar, add a pinch of salt.
Step 2:
Mix the ingredients with a mixer until a homogeneous mass is obtained.
Step 3:
Pour wheat flour combined with baking powder into a bowl with a liquid mixture, mix with a spoon. If desired, you can add a pinch of vanilla, but in principle, apple jam gives a special pleasant taste and aroma to baking from it.
Step 4:
Knead smooth elastic dough with your hands. Roll the dough into a ball. It is not necessary to knead the shortbread dough for a long time, otherwise it will turn out dense, and the products from it are hard and dry. Wrap the ball of shortbread dough in plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour.
Step 5:
When the dough has cooled, divide it into two parts. One should be slightly larger than the second. Roll out each of the dough pieces into a thin layer, no more than 0.5 centimeters thick.
Step 6:
In a form greased with butter, spread a larger layer of dough.
Step 7:
We spread a thin layer of apple jam on it.
Step 8:
Cut the second circle of dough with a knife or a special device with a grate and put it on the jam in the mold. Carefully fix the edges of the pie. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Bake the shortbread pie with apple jam for about 25 minutes, until a light blush.
Step 9:
We take the pie out of the oven, cut it into pieces, let it cool down a little and serve it to the table with tea, coffee or cocoa. Have a nice tea party!
