Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to make monkey bread? Prepare the ingredients for the dough. The water should be warm, but not hot, about 40 ⁰C. Wheat flour, the highest grade. Use fast-acting yeast that you are sure of. If there is no confidence in the performance of yeast, it is better to prepare the brew in advance. Use refined, odorless oil.
Step 2:
In a deep bowl, add all the dry ingredients: sift flour, add sugar, yeast and salt.
Step 3:
Pour in warm water and vegetable oil.
Step 4:
Knead the dough, adding flour if necessary. As a result, the dough should not stick to your hands. As soon as it stops sticking strongly to your hands, stop introducing flour. Remember, the more flour in the dough, the less airy the pastry will be. Leave the dough for 2 hours in a warm place without drafts.
Step 5:
That's how my dough rose after 2 hours of proofing. By the way, I leave the dough to come up in a closed microwave oven, in which I have just warmed up a glass of water.
Step 6:
From the dough, pinch off the koloboks with your hands by about 50-70 grams in weight. Put them on the work surface.
Step 7:
Prepare everything you need for toppings-toppings. Chop dried cranberries with raisins and add ground black pepper. Grate the semi-hard cheese on a fine grater. Wash the greens and finely chop them. Nuts can also be any, chop them.
Step 8:
Leave some oil to lubricate the flame. Melt the rest of the butter for 10 seconds in the microwave until liquid. Grate garlic on a fine grater and mix with oil.
Step 9:
Dip each bun first in oil from all sides.
Step 10:
And then into your chosen fillings.
Step 11:
Spread the buns in a greased with butter form with a hole in the middle in a chaotic manner. Cover the bread and leave for 30 minutes to proofing in a warm place.
Step 12:
That's how well my bread has risen during this time. Bake the bread in a preheated 180 ° C oven for 30-40 minutes until cooked.
Step 13:
Wonderful garlic bread is ready! Pieces with different fillings are well separated from each other due to the fact that they are oiled.
This bread will ideally replace the dumplings for borscht, and in general, it will be an excellent companion for almost any meal.
Cooking it is fun and interesting, and it is even more interesting to taste different toppings. I liked it the most with cheese, sweet turmeric and cranberries and hot pepper.
Under the supervision of adults, children can also help to cook such bread!
Bon appetit!
When the top layer of baking is slightly browned, check it for readiness: pierce it with a wooden skewer in several places, if the skewer comes out dry, then the mold (or baking sheet) can be taken out of the oven.
Be prepared for the fact that flour may need more or less than indicated in the recipe. Focus not on the amount of flour, but on the desired consistency of the dough. To avoid mistakes, read about flour and its properties!
Keep in mind that everyone's ovens are different. The temperature and cooking time may differ from those specified in the recipe. To make any baked dish successful, use useful information about the features of ovens !
