Cooking method
1. We put the dried fruits in a jar, pour rum, send them to the refrigerator for a week, or at least for 2-3 days, shake the jar daily so that the dried fruits are evenly soaked with alcohol.
2. Before you start baking, we dry the nuts in any convenient way: in a dry frying pan, in the oven or in the microwave. Peel the husks from the peanuts, chop the walnuts coarsely.
3. Pre-softened butter is whipped with sugar into a fluffy mass, add orange zest. We drain the rum from the dried fruits, it will come in handy later, combine the dried fruits with nuts, mix.
4. In a bowl, sift both types of flour, add salt, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and cloves. We introduce the oil mass and honey into the dry ingredients, and also break the eggs, mix everything thoroughly.
5. We mix a mixture of dried fruits and nuts into the dough, and also pour the rum with which the dried fruits were filled in the beginning. Grease the baking pans with butter and dust with flour, spread the dough, cover the surface with foil.
6. We place the molds on a baking sheet with a high side, pour water so that it reaches at least the middle of the molds. We send the structure to the oven preheated to 150 degrees, bake for 1 hour, after which we reduce the temperature to 130 degrees and continue to bake for another 2.5 - 3 hours. We check the readiness of the pie with a wooden skewer.
Ready-made pies are tightly packed in parchment and foil, left in a cool dark place for 4-5 days.
Before serving, decorate to your taste, you can pour icing or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
