Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Sift the flour. We do this in order to remove various foreign particles. I recommend not to neglect this process. It takes literally one or two minutes, but the quality of baking is noticeably improved. Add baking powder, sugar, salt to the flour.
Step 2:
Next, in a separate bowl, mix vegetable oil and boiling water. You can take sunflower oil, you can take liver oil. Then add this mixture to the flour.
Step 3:
Reshape the dry and liquid ingredients. Knead the dough. It turns out to be soft, oily. It's a pleasure to work with him. The dough should not stick to your hands.
Step 4:
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin. I recommend rolling it out immediately on parchment paper or on a silicone baking mat. So you will not need to put cookies, spend time on it. The thickness of the dough is not more than 0.5 cm. You can do less. Lubricate with beaten egg. It will help to "attach" the seeds to the dough more reliably.
Step 5:
Sprinkle the seeds. I poured flax seeds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds. You can, of course, do with some kind of seeds. It's a matter of taste. To secure the seeds, carefully roll out again with a rolling pin. The surface will be leveled.
Step 6:
We send the cookies to bake in a preheated 200 degree oven for 15-20 minutes. Here the cookies are ready. You can serve it to the table.
This cookie is good for tea, coffee. It goes well with warm milk. It is also an excellent nutritious snack.
The number of seeds can be adjusted independently. It all depends on your taste preferences.
Seeds, if desired, can be replaced with dry herbs, such as basil, dill. Such cookies can be crunched not only with tea, but also with soup.
And you can sprinkle with spices, such as cinnamon, nutmeg.
