Biscuits with cottage cheese and honeysuckle

Thin crispy dough and juicy berry filling. In the summer, when there is an abundance of fresh berries, I want to cook as many different dishes with them as possible. And how many kinds of baking can be done! And here is a biscuit with cottage cheese and honeysuckle, simple and easy to prepare. Honeysuckle is the very first, early berry that we have in time. And how delicious and healthy it is. Juicy, slightly tart honeysuckle goes well with a sweet curd layer. And a thin, crispy biscuit with it turns out just amazing!

Step-by-step cooking

Cooking time: 1 h 15 min
  1. Step 1:

    Step 1.

To prepare a biscuit with cottage cheese and honeysuckle, you will need: egg, vegetable oil, water, salt, flour, cottage cheese, sour cream, sugar, honeysuckle berries, starch, powdered sugar.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2.

Making the dough. Beat the egg with salt until smooth.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3.

    Pour vegetable oil, mix.

  4. Step 4:

    Step 4.

    Add warm water, mix.

  5. Step 5:

    Step 5.

    Pour in the sifted flour.

  6. Step 6:

    Step 6.

Knead a homogeneous, soft dough. We wrap it in plastic wrap and let it "rest" for 30 minutes. During this time, the dough will become more elastic and pliable.

  7. Step 7:

    Step 7.

Roll out the dough into a thin round layer with a thickness of no more than 5 mm. It is convenient to do this immediately on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil. The edges of the layer are rolled out a little thinner than the middle.

  8. Step 8:

    Step 8.

Making the filling. If the cottage cheese is used soft, or flakes, then it is better to grind it in a blender or rub it through a sieve. So the filling will be more tender. Cottage cheese is combined with sour cream and sugar and mixed.

  9. Step 9:

    Step 9.

We sort out the honeysuckle berries, if necessary, wash them, dry them well. Combine with starch, powdered sugar, mix gently.

  10. Step 10:

    Step 10.

Spread the curd layer on the dough, distribute it, not reaching the edge of 5 cm .

  11. Step 11:

    Step 11.

Spread the berries evenly on the curd layer.

  12. Step 12:

    Step 12.

We bend the edges of the dough onto the filling, laying them overlap.

  13. Step 13:

    Step 13.

    The edges are slightly pressed.

  14. Step 14:

    Step 14.

Bake the biscuit in a preheated 180 degree oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

  15. Step 15:

    Step 15.

Cool the finished biscuit completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Bon appetit!

Galeta is probably one of the simplest baking options that exist.
The basis of this biscuit is unsweetened, crispy dough, which after baking has a slightly layered structure.
Any other berry or fruit is suitable for filling. In any case, it will be juicy and delicious.
