Cooking method
Let's start with the preparation of the filling.
Cut the bacon into small pieces and fry in a dry frying pan. Toasted bacon is transferred from the frying pan to a cup.
We cut the onion, put it in a frying pan and fry it on the remains of bacon fat.
We make mashed potatoes from boiled potatoes, add milk (the amount of milk depends on the potatoes, look at the consistency so that our pies are not very dry
Add fried onions, bacon to the mashed potatoes, mix. Salt, pepper to taste.
Forming pies. We take a piece of bread, roll it out with a rolling pin.
We take a round shape and cut out one half of the pie from one piece of bread and also cut out the other half of the pie from the second piece of bread. Then we spread the filling on one half and cover it with the second half of bread.
Pinch the edges with a fork. You can also do it more economically without cutting out the shapes, put the filling on one part of a piece of bread, fold a piece of bread in half and pinch.
Shake 2 eggs. We dip our pies in them.
Bake in the oven at 200 degrees for 15-20 minutes or fry in a frying pan – this will be much faster.
Our pies are ready! Bon appetit!
