Make the holiday brighter - prepare an unusual cake! I really like Turtle cake - it looks beautiful and appetizing, and most importantly - the perfect taste of sponge cake in combination with sour cream. I especially like the chocolate version.

Cooking method

Cooking time: 1 h 30 min

Cooking such a cake is not difficult at all.
Beat eggs with sugar. Eggs can be divided into whites and yolks and beaten separately, but this is not essential. The main thing is that the sugar is completely dissolved in the whipped mass.
Sift flour and baking powder into the egg mixture, mix gently. The dough turns out almost like pancakes - runny.
Grease the baking sheet with butter and use a teaspoon to spread the dough in portions at a distance of 3 cm from each other.
Bake sponge cakes in a preheated 180 degree oven. They are baked very quickly - 5-10 minutes, depending on the type of oven.
Ready-made biscuits are carefully placed in a deep bowl, covered with a towel.
The cream is sour cream mixed with sugar and cocoa. We choose the maximum fat sour cream so that the cream is not very liquid.
We spread the blanks on a flat dish, pour them with cream. Thus, we form the entire shell.
Pour chocolate glaze on top of the turtle. To do this, mix sour cream, sugar and cocoa in a saucepan, put on medium heat and, stirring, bring to a boil. At the output we get a glossy chocolate glaze, let it cool down to a warm state.
When the shell is "dressed" in a fragrant chocolate coat, decorate it with walnut kernels, forming turtle patterns.
Such a cake does not require a long time for impregnation, only half an hour - and help yourself to health!
