Sausage and Cheese Appetizer Rolls

Wonderfully tasty and very cute little rolls! They're quick to make and look beautiful. I saw these original, eye-catching appetizer rolls at my friend's anniversary party. I decided to change them up a little and plate them my own way. It turned out very presentable, elegant, attractive, and quite festive!

Cooking method

  1. Step 1:

    Step 1

It's better to use a thick sausage, about 10 centimeters in diameter. And it should be thinly sliced - you can buy it pre-sliced. Peel the garlic and crush it through a press. Grate the walnuts on a fine grater, put them in a bowl, and mix with the mayonnaise and garlic; combine everything. Cut the olives in half and the lemon into quarters, then into thin slices - the thinner, the better.

  2. Step 2:

    Step 2

Start forming the rolls. Take one slice of sausage - our base. Spread a layer of the nut mixture on it, then place olive halves cut-side down in the center. Add a little cheese grated on a coarse or fine grater, then 2 slices of lemon and one or two sprigs of herbs.

  3. Step 3:

    Step 3

Roll everything up into a tube and secure it with a toothpick or skewer. Use up all the sausage and all the filling. Arrange the finished sausage rolls on a large flat platter in a pyramid, garnish with extra fresh herbs, or scatter olives around them. My friend told me how to make these sausage rolls, and now I've shared the recipe with you.

  • It's no secret that cold appetizers always have a place of honor on the holiday table. They're the first thing guests reach for when they can't wait to snack before the hot dishes arrive. Sausage is one such appetizer. Usually it's thinly sliced and simply laid out on a plate in layers, sometimes alternating with sliced cheese. Admit it - that presentation won't surprise anyone, especially these days when there are so many wonderful recipes and tips for dressing up dishes. But if you make these filled sausage rolls, you can confidently lay claim to "Host of the Year." Admit it - they look as if they were just brought to you from a restaurant. But it's one thing that they look beautiful and appetizing, and quite another that they're also very tasty - of course, with such a flavor combination! It seems everything in this filling was thought through. Give it a try yourself!
