Step 1:
Our ingredients. I will immediately note that you can use any cheese, the main thing is that there is a lot of it!
Step 2:
In a bowl, beat the egg a little. Add minced meat and pre-chopped onion, bell pepper, crushed garlic, oregano, half of the cheese grated on a fine grater and spices to taste. If desired, add a few basil leaves.
Step 3:
Before you forget, turn on the oven to warm up, the temperature is 200 degrees. Mix our mass well with our hands.
Step 4:
Grease the baking dish with vegetable oil. Fill each cell with minced meat. In the center of the mass we put a piece of cheese (I have a soft one). We cover the top of the future balls with a spoon of minced meat, it is necessary to completely close the cheese cubes so that our filling does not leak out. Put the mold in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Step 5:
Take out the almost finished balls and sprinkle each with the remaining grated cheese, lightly pressing with your fingers. We return everything back to the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Step 6:
You can prepare a sauce from tomato paste and fried onions for the finished balls. It is best to serve the dish in a warm form while the cheese is melted. Bon appetit!
