Cut the strawberries into small pieces and sprinkle with 1 tbsp sugar. In a separate bowl, mix flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Add cold butter to the flour mixture and rub everything into crumbs. Add strawberries to the flour crumbs and mix. Add the milk and mix well. We do not interfere with the dough for a long time, we just need a homogeneous mass. Spread the dough on a floured table and level it into a flat cake, 1.5 cm thick. We cut out our buns with a mold or just a knife and put them on a baking sheet. Bake for 25-30 minutes in a preheated 180 C oven (until golden brown). We serve them still warm for breakfast.
