Cooking method
I found a culinary recipe for very tasty and fragrant gingerbread with candied fruits and nuts in one of the magazines a few years ago. These are traditional German gingerbread cookies that are baked at Christmas. You can always enjoy such sweet food, enjoying the classic taste of chocolate gingerbread. I took note of this recipe and on holidays I treat guests with chocolate gingerbread with candied fruits. We take candied kumquat, any citrus candied fruits and chop them not very finely with a knife. Nuts are also chopped with a knife so that pieces are felt in the gingerbread. Cardamom and cloves are ground in a coffee grinder, and sifted through a sieve. Fresh ginger root is crushed. Next, knead the dough. Rub white soft butter with granulated sugar. Then gradually introduce the eggs, without ceasing to beat. At the end, we put the crushed bitter chocolate to sleep and mix well. In another cup, mix the sifted wheat flour, baking powder, oat flakes and spices, as well as sifted cocoa powder, nuts and candied fruits. I advise you to take oat flakes, on a pack of which it is written "not requiring cooking". The prepared mass is gradually added to the egg – oil mixture. Mix everything with a mixer. Cover the baking sheet with oiled parchment paper. We take an incomplete tablespoon of dough, roll a ball out of it and make a flatbread. We put the gingerbread blanks on a baking sheet at a considerable distance from each other. Bake gingerbread cookies in a preheated oven to 180 degrees for 10 minutes. Make sure that they do not dry out. Half of each cooled gingerbread is smeared with the remaining chocolate, melted in a water bath. Chocolate cakes with candied fruits are ready, you can drink tea!
