Peel the potatoes and cut them in half lengthwise.
Grease the mold with vegetable oil.
Cut the potatoes into thin slices, without cutting them to the end. Put the flat side down into the mold.
Butter each potato liberally.
Bake for 10 minutes in the oven, preheated to one hundred and eighty degrees.
Take out the mold, season the potatoes with salt and pepper, sprinkle with seasoning and put in the oven for another 10 minutes. Periodically water the potatoes with the liquid formed after frying.
To get the glaze, mix fresh juice from one orange with sugar and zest.
Pour into a small saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly. The syrup should thicken slightly.
Pour orange glaze over the potatoes, sprinkle with paprika and bake for another 10 minutes.
