Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Ingredients.
Step 2:
Prepare the dough. Pour mineral water into the flour, then brandy, add sugar and salt. Mix everything together.
Step 3:
Dust the table with flour. Knead the dough well, it should turn out elastic and steep. Flour may need more or less. Therefore, do not pour out all at once, then add as necessary.
Step 4:
Cover the dough with a towel and leave for 15 minutes.
Step 5:
For the convenience of rolling out, divide the dough into 4 parts.
Step 6:
Dust the table with flour. Roll out 1 part of the dough, as thin as possible.
Step 7:
Also sprinkle the dough layer with flour and distribute it over the entire surface. This is necessary so that the layers do not stick together when collapsing.
Step 8:
Now you need to roll the rolled layer into a not very dense roll 3-4 cm wide.
Step 9:
Then use a curly or ordinary knife to cut the roll diagonally into 2 cm wide pieces.
Step 10:
The resulting pieces need to be spread out in the shape of a flower so that a hole turns out in the middle. We also roll out and form the remaining dough.
Step 11:
Pour vegetable oil into a frying pan or saucepan and heat it. Spread the flowers and fry on both sides until golden brown.
Step 12:
We spread the ready-made Crimean brushwood on napkins or a towel to remove excess oil. Leave to cool.
Step 13:
We cook the syrup. Mix the water with sugar and put it on medium heat, stirring constantly, waiting for the sugar to completely dissolve.
Step 14:
Cook for 5 minutes, turn off the stove and add honey, also stirring, waiting for complete dissolution.
Step 15:
Dip the cooled brushwood in syrup, spread it on a dish.
Step 16:
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts, if you like, you can sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Step 17:
Crimean brushwood or "beach" baklava is ready. Bon appetit!
