Cooking method
Pour the kefir into a deep bowl, break the eggs, add salt, plain sugar and vanilla sugar, pour in the cognac. Mix everything well (I do it with a whisk, I'm used to it) so that the mass is homogeneous.
Then sift flour with baking powder into the same bowl and quickly mix the dough with the same whisk to prevent any lumps (it won't be steep and dense, for this recipe we need a completely different consistency - like pancakes).
Pour vegetable oil into a saucepan and let it warm up properly. Then lower the dough there using two teaspoons (in one spoon the dough, with the other spoon help push the dough into the fryer), the dough acquires the desired shape on its own.
Put the finished donuts on a paper towel using a slotted spoon (I also use cooking tongs) to absorb excess fat, then sprinkle with powdered sugar.
