Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients. To prepare string beans for garnish, we will need (string beans (frozen or fresh, I have frozen; whole or sliced), olive oil, garlic, almonds, lemon juice and salt.

If the beans are frozen, then put them in a colander and scald them twice with boiling water. If the beans are fresh, then just rinse thoroughly.
Step 3:
Put the thawed beans in boiling salted water. Bring the water to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes.
Step 4:
Chop almonds coarsely. In principle, it can not be added or replaced with other nuts, for example, walnuts. But it turns out tastier this way. The combination of beans with nuts is a classic.
Step 5:
Peel and chop the garlic. You can also pass it through a press or grate it.
Step 6:
Put the string beans in a colander and let the water drain. Dry it.
Step 7:
Put the bean pods in a bowl. Add garlic to the beans, pour lemon juice and olive oil and mix.
Step 8:
Sprinkle the beans with chopped almonds and serve. Such an interesting and bright side dish will appeal to many. Nice appetite!
For cooking string beans (also called asparagus beans or green beans), it is preferable to use young pods. They are more gentle. Overripe string beans take longer to cook, are less juicy and taste tough. It is possible to distinguish overripe beans from young ones by color: young ones have delicate colors (light green, light yellow, etc.) and by the elasticity of the pod.
Before cooking any dish of string beans, it must be boiled. Bean pods are cleaned from twigs, washed well and boiled in salted water. The duration of cooking depends on the ripeness of the beans. Young string beans are cooked for 5-7 minutes, and overripe - 8-10. Readiness can be determined by the appearance and taste.
