Cooking method
First of all, before making jam, you need to thoroughly rinse the fruits in a colander under a small stream of running water. After that, the berries should dry out. Sterilize the jars and lids in advance. You can boil them in a deep saucepan for three minutes.
To make jam "five minutes" from strawberries, it is necessary to select a small, whole berry. But if you have large berries, then you can cut them into four parts. Pour a glass of water into a saucepan, put it on the fire and, stirring constantly, pour out the sugar. Add berries to the boiling syrup, while not reducing the fire. Do not forget to add citric acid, it will preserve the bright color of the jam. Cook the jam on high heat for five minutes, stirring thoroughly with a wooden spoon. Try not to damage the berries. The finished hot jam is poured into jars and immediately rolled up. It can be stored at room temperature in a dark place. Bon appetit!
