Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
How to fry a turkey in pieces? Prepare the ingredients according to the list. I have a turkey fillet, but any part of it, with bones, too, will do for this recipe. Clean the meat, if necessary, rinse well in water and dry dry with paper towels.
Step 2:
Cut the turkey fillet into small pieces.
Step 3:
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan (I have olive oil). To check whether the oil has warmed up well enough in a frying pan, you can do it in a simple way. Lower a wooden spatula into it. If bubbles have gathered around it, then you can start the frying process.
Step 4:
Put the turkey fillet in the pan. Do it carefully, do not forget that the oil is hot.
Step 5:
Pour soy sauce into the pan. Please note that I do not add salt, because the sauce itself is salty. If you prefer to fry without it, at this stage, add salt to the turkey.
Step 6:
Stirring occasionally, fry the meat over medium heat until tender for about 20 minutes.
Step 7:
At the very end of the dish, pepper and mix.
I rarely roast meat. Mostly I try to stew or bake. But if I fry, it's usually poultry and always in soy sauce. So the meat turns out juicy, with a pleasant soy flavor.
Use oil with a high smoking temperature for frying! Any oils are useful only until a certain temperature is reached - the point of smoking, at which the oil begins to burn and toxic substances, including carcinogens, are formed in it.
Unrefined oils, with rare exceptions, have a low smoking point. There are a lot of unfiltered organic particles in them, which quickly begin to burn.
Refined oils are more resistant to heating, and their smoking point is higher. If you are going to cook food in the oven, on a frying pan or grill, make sure that you use oil with a high smoking point. The most common of the oils with a high smoking point: refined varieties of sunflower, olive and grape.
When adding soy sauce to a dish, it is worth considering that it has a rather salty taste. Reduce the total amount of salt, otherwise you risk over-salting.
Turkey can be replaced with chicken or any other type of meat at your request. But keep in mind that in this case, the cooking time and calorie content of the dish will change.
