Composition / ingredients
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1:
Prepare the ingredients.
Step 2:
First prepare the syrup. Pour water into a saucepan, add sugar and citric acid.
Step 3:
Put the saucepan on the fire and bring the syrup to a boil, cook it for 1-2 minutes and remove from the heat.
Step 4:
I wash the apples and, if desired, cut out the core with a special knife (I did not do this). Cut the apples into circles about 1-2 mm thick.
Step 5:
We lower the sliced apples into warm syrup and leave for 10 minutes. By the way, if all the apples did not fit at once, then we do it in stages.
Step 6:
We catch the apple mugs from the syrup and put them on paper towels to get rid of the remnants of the syrup.
Step 7:
Transfer the dried apples to a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Step 8:
Dry the apples at 60-80 C for 1-2 hours. During drying, we do not completely close the oven door, but prop it up so that there is a small opening for steam to escape (I use a wooden spoon for this purpose). The degree of drying of apples is selected to your taste, you can dry them to a crunch state, or you can leave them slightly flexible.
Step 9:
Let the apple chips cool down and you can serve. Storing apple chips in a container with a lid.
Step 10:
Apple chips are ready!
Step 11:
Bon appetit!
