Step-by-step cooking
First of all, I hard-boil four large chicken eggs or half a dozen small ones. I cool it by covering it with ice cooked in the freezer or just under a stream of cold water in the sink. Mix mayonnaise with pepper and salt. Meanwhile, I peel a couple of cucumbers, cut each length into three parts and cut into strips. Finely chop the egg yolk and white separately. Then I lay out the products in layers. The first layer is an egg yolk, the second is a thin layer of mayonnaise. The third comes the turn of cucumber straws, the fourth layer is mayonnaise again, and the green onion and a layer of grated egg white are fresh. It looks like the tops of trees, thickly dusted with fresh snow. I was very lucky somehow, in a break between two interesting films on TV, to get on a commercial for kitchen furniture, where they told me the culinary recipe for this surprisingly simple, but at the same time delicious, salad.
