Step-by-step cooking
Thinly slice the peeled onion. Pour it with boiling water for a minute, drain the water and pour the onion with marinade (water and vinegar in the proportion of 1:1) for 15 minutes. Drain the marinade.
Gut the herring, cut into fillets, finely chop.
Place the herring in an arc on a large dish (this will be the base of the dragon).
On top - a layer of pickled onions.
After - peeled boiled potatoes grated on a fine grater.
Make a "mouth" from two slices of sweet pepper as in the photo. Cover with potatoes.
Grease with mayonnaise.
Drain the liquid from the olives, grind them in a blender and put the top layer.
Put in the cold overnight for soaking.
Decorate .
