In order for us to get a wonderful mastic for cakes, we will need marshmallow candies, otherwise called marshmallows (mini marshmallows). For the first time, these were prepared in the USA, so this culinary recipe refers to American cuisine. The beauty of such candies lies in the fact that it is ideal to work with them – they roll out perfectly, do not stick to your hands and "obey" you in everything. Depending on what goals you adhere to, buy marshmallows of one color or another. I like to take white ones for this. Often two-tone ones are sold in stores, they are also suitable, since they can be divided into parts according to the color scheme.
Pour our zifirinki into a separate glass dish, add lemon juice and send it to the microwave for ten seconds. We need the candy to increase in volume. Take them out and gradually add powdered sugar, stirring continuously. After we put it on the table and begin to knead with our hands. The mass should not stick to them. We cover the mastic with a film and put it in the refrigerator for half an hour. Then sprinkle the table with starch and roll out the mastic into the layer we need, from which we then cut out all kinds of decorations for the cake. Such sweet and beautiful food is very popular with little kids.
